Local records are available from 1910 to present as well as certified copies of birth certificates for births occurring in the state of Texas from 1926 to the present. Certified copies of birth certificates cost $23 each. Certified death certificates are $21 for the first copy and $4 for each additional copy. Please include a photocopy of your driver's license or some proof of identification with the application. Requests for additional information can be e-mailed to jenettat@ci.waco.tx.us. E-mail requests will be answered at the earliest convenience.
To request a birth or death certificate, fill out the form below. This form can be either faxed or mailed.
Expedited services is available for birth and death certificates if needed. Requests are processed within 3-5 working days. The expedited service fee ensures the request will be processed the same day of receipt. The charge for the expedited service is $10.00.
